Reflecting Christ
When I was growing up, my father would always tell us whenever we went anywhere that we needed to realize that our actions reflected our whole family. My father was a very loving father with a heart full of pride for his family. I never wanted to be the one who would bring shame to him, but as time would prove, I did on occasion. My father although upset at my behavior, would still show me unquestioning love.
Whenever I excelled in anything he was there to show me his support and tell his world all about my achievement.
I was blessed with a father that made it very easy for me to relate to a loving heavenly Father. We need to be on our best behavior because we are a reflection of our spiritual family to the world around us.
The Apostle Paul says it well:
Phi 1:27 Only let your behavior do credit to the good news of Christ, so that if I come and see you or if I am away from you, I may have news of you that you are strong in one spirit, working together with one soul for the faith of the good news;
Blessings
