20/20 Vision

As life moves forward for us we at times are introduced to new challenges in our life.Some say that hindsight is 20/20 meaning that as we look back over our past decisions we can see choices we made then that could have been made wiser had we known what the outcome would have been.
I am a builder by profession. Many times as my work offers challenges I find myself needing to accomplish something that I haven’t done. Before I move forward I stop and analyze the situation at times I will create tools that will help me accomplish that task.
After the job has been completed I will again stop and look back over my work and look and see what I could have done different. I will also look at the sequence of my work and see if I had changed my sequence would my job be easier and most importantly would my job performance be improved, both in time involved and quality of craftsmanship.
With new projects brings new challenges to me. I will refer to my past experience to see if something I learned in an earlier project could be of value to me in this new venture.
In this way I am always growing in my field of knowledge.
As we grow in our Christian walk we should always be learning from our past experiences and most importantly looking to our source of knowledge “Our Heavenly Father” for ways of handling the task’s at hand. We should always be experiencing   growth in our walk with the Lord. Our characters should be ever transforming into the perfect character of Christ.
Prayerfully consider what Peter is counseling here;
2Pe 1:5  Yea, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply virtue; and in your virtue knowledge;
2Pe 1:6  and in your knowledge self-control; and in your self-control patience; and in your patience godliness;
2Pe 1:7  and in your godliness brotherly kindness; and in your brotherly kindness love.
2Pe 1:8  For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to be not idle nor unfruitful unto the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2Pe 1:9  For he that lacketh these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins.
2Pe 1:10  Wherefore, brethren, give the more diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never stumble:
Blessings
